we have a bet

gio and i have a bet on the chelsea v. barca match. $5 bucks is the bet. all gio needs to do to win is see her chelskiites win the game. they don't even have to win the tie, just the game. it's a straight bet based on the game. if it winds up a draw nobody loses anything. fun!

hmmm .. a 0-0 draw is most likely, followed by 1-0 Chelsea win.

we should go see this at that MRC bar tomorrow if you're not teaching at 12:45pm. i'm sure they have TSN.

looks like we each get to keep our 5 spot, and my boys will not be winning the champions league afterall. go arsenal and liverpool!

Gio, what did you think of that match? it seemed to me that Lampard played just hard enough for you to keep that 5. i finally saw what Brad was talking about; Lampard is not a leader. other than that penalty and that atrocious free-kick, he was non-existant. I guess this is why he is not a captain, but you know what, neither is Terry. Chelsea showed no heart today, which again brings up the debate of skill vs. desire. these guys have won EPL, this is all they had to play for and they played like they didn't want to be there.

i thought they would "come out flying" and Barca expected that too, but they barely came out. starting Duff was a huge error, Gudjohnsen is far better. Crespo should have been brought on for Gallas RIGHT AFTER Messi left the game. Gallas was not needed after Larsson came on.

horrible coaching from Jose and horrible performance from a Chelski. they gave up even before the match started. i even skipped class for this. if this is how Chelsea play in must win games, i don't want to see Sheva there, ever.

I don't want to see Sheva at Chelsea for other reason. I like Shevchenko and hate Chelsea, so that would cause problems. Plus, as an Arsenal fan the mere thought of Chelsea adding a striker of that caliber scares the hell out of me.

Oh, and thanks to the wonders of VPN connections and an understanding boss, I get to watch the Arsenal game live tomorrow. Which is even more important since Arsenal.com has undergone an upgrade and tightened up their account security :)

i haven't seen the game yet - i recorded it but have been super busy with work. this game didn't read well in the minute-by-minute like the first one did, so i'm not sure if i'll watch it at all.

i'm jealous that you can vpn into work today... soon, i tell you, i will too! i get my laptop next week...

ps - bananas, i'm taping the game for you today. (henry, henry, henry)
