Cole Saves Chelsea
i hate 'watching' match report games. when colchester scored first at the 28th minute, i thought for sure that chelsea's losing streak was going to continue, and didn't think they could take on Barca with another loss under thier belt.
but thank god for joe cole, subbing in at the half and delivering two excellent goals (well, i imagine them as excellent anyway). now let's hope the momentum takes on Barca...
speaking of Barca, i hear that they are already complaining about the pitch at chelsea...perhaps they are preparing an excuse when the lose?
This is a very important week for us - this game has put us in the last eight of the FA Cup and we have a chance on Wednesday night to take a step towards the last eight of the Champions League. We also want to get back on track in the League before we go away on international duty so we want to get a good week behind us. Now we will go into the Barcelona game full of confidence. We have got the Middlesbrough defeat out of our system and rested some key players - we are ready for the big one.
go joe go

I can't wait for Chelsea - Barca match.
Barca have the upper hand as the 1st leg is in London. Barca's destruction of Betis over the weekend (same Betis that beat the Blues) was impressive and they get an extra day to rest.
I can't see Chelsea beating Barcelona over 2 legs unless the Catalan defense chokes again.
just thinking about this game makes me naseous. but i love my blues and will cheer for them until my throat is raw.
barca is strong, but as we've seen with chelsea since January, all giants gotta fall sometime.
i'm with taras. barca are going to have to choke fierce to lose this tie.
p.s. you'll cheer for joe until your throat is raw ;)
it will be hard avoiding the scoreline all day as TSN decided to air the match on tape delay at 10:00 pm because of the Olympics!
i'll be stuck watching live bowling on ice with brooms instead of this delicious game.
at least Real v. Arsenal is on time.
i know - i'm going to try to avoid hearing the score so i can watch it at 10 pm...i hope my curiosity doesn't get the better of me. i'm one of those people who just have to know.
too bad i'll have to miss the real v. arsenal game (go real - sorry brad).

Ouch. I can pretty much guarantee you that the ratings TSN will get for curling coverage will be far, far higher than any football match. That said I'll gladly watch quality football even if I know the result. Barca should put on quite a show (go barca - sorry gio).
EL MILAN! INCHINATI AL DIAVOLO! SUPER SHEVA!
hmmm, i wonder who taras is pulling for. ha ha
and no need to apologize bri...i know where your loyalties lie.
Fuck TSN...
Here I went to all the effort of setting my VCR up and avoiding any possible chance of inadvertantly learning the results, I get home press play and get:
"The Champions League game between Arsenal and Real Madrid will be shown immediately following hockey". So, if anybody wants to watch the US vs. Russia hockey game I have it on tape :(
How I wish I could have seen that game. Sounds like it was glorious.
no fucking way! that is horrible. you must be so pissed.
