the looks on ruud's and rooney's faces say it all. poor smithy. i hate man utd, but i wouldn't wish that pain on anyone. and what a way for it to happen. all smith was doing was trying block a shot. there was not crazy attack, no two foot tackle, nothing but a normal lateral shift. a shift and then a crumple. nasty.

is it as bad as Larsson's injury was? I didn't see this one but if the ankle came out, it's bad.
bad news indeed.
good news is that it wasn't a career breaker (as far as they can tell). man, that's gotta hurt.
