Some World Cup Trivia
Because this week is going by incredibly slowly, here are some trivia questions.
All answers are based on the team rosters from www.wcup06.ca (with adjustments for the Ballack & Rosicky transfers).
1. Which club has the most players in the World Cup?
2. Which club has players on the most teams in the World Cup?
3. Which three Premiership teams have the most players in the England squad?
4. Which two Premiership teams have the highest number of players in the France squad (behind Lyon and Juventus)?
5. Of the 23 players in the England squad, how many play in England?
6. Of the 23 players in the Italy squad, how many play in Italy?
7. Of the 23 players in the Brazil squad, how many play in Brazil?

the only one i remember reading anywhere was number 3 (but i won't say anything now because i want to submit my answers as a whole)
i'm gonna guess.
1. AC Milan (represent!)
2. Barcelona
3. Tottenham Spurs, Man Utd, (Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool tied at 3)?
4. Arsenal
5. 21 (only Hargreaves and Beckham are legioners)
6. everyone

here are my guesses:
1. real madrid
2. arsenal
3. spurs, liverpool and chelsea
4. chelsea and man utd
5. 20, becks plays at real madrid, hargreaves plays at munich, and walcott doesn't play at all since reserves don't count

7. 2 ricardinho and rogerio ceni
Excellent guesses bananas. 5/7.
Correct answers so far:
2. Arsenal - 11 countries (BRA, CIV, CZE, ENG, FRA, GER, NED, ESP, SWE, SUI, TOG). With the Sheva signing confirmed today Chelsea also has 11 (ARG, CIV, CZE, ENG, FRA, GER, GHA, NED, POR, ESP, UKR). Barcelona, Leverkusen and Man Utd all have 8 countries represented.
3. Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea - 4 each. Arsenal/Man Utd are next with 3.
4. Chelsea and Man Utd - 2 each. Just to show that Arsenal isn't "Team France" anymore.
5. 20 or 21. - Beckham (Spain) and Hargreaves (Germany). And Walcott (Arsenal Reserves) on the technicality :)
6. 23 - This surprised me (though it probably shouldn't have).
I'll wait until later tonight to add the answers for 1 & 7 in case anybody wants to give those another shot.
my new guess for number one is chelsea. and then i am going to say one for number seven (i'm guessing that i missed the transfer of ricardhino or ceni). fun quiz by the way, brian. i thought you'd get a kick out of my theo walcott technicality ;)
1. Chelsea - 17 (18 with Sheva) followed by Arsenal at 16. Milan would have been third with 13 before losing Shevchenko. Now they are part of a tie with a couple of other teams.
7. 3 - apparently that website updates it's rosters pretty quickly as the third was Mineiro who has replaced Edmilson on the roster as of yesterday.
And one last piece of meaningless trivia: there are 12 teenagers on World Cup rosters - 3 of which are Arsenal property (Fabregas, Walcott and Djourou)
