see ya mad jens
yes indeed, as my friend brian said mad jens' red card was deserved. law 12 section 5 of dismissable offenses states that a player can be sent off when he:
denies an obvious goalscoring opportunity to an opponent moving towards the player’s goal by an offence punishable by a free kick or a penalty kick.still, i have seen that play let go in the past. the truth of the moment is that the ref should have played advantage and the goal should have stood. with 11 men we could have come back. stop, bananas. there are lots of what ifs.
the point is that we played valiantly. the arsenal can be proud.
please stay, henry. we love you.

i really hope henry stays. the arsenal played a spectacular game today and the better team did not prevail. apparently the ref was watching a different game than the rest of us - or was it the barcelona coloured glasses that was blurring his vision?
I hope you heard me screaming from down south brother. I sat and watched and thought of you the entire game. Arsenal played with heart and determination. The Referee was playing a strong Barca hand...This should do nothing but strengthen the Gunners for 06/07.
Talk to you when I get back
Mateo
In the eighteenth minute the ref stops the game too early after a foul by Lehman on Eto'o. Therefore a goal by Barcelona does not count. The goal should have counted and no player of Barcelona would have cared if Lehman would have gotten away with no card at all. It would have been better for the game.
In 22th minute Eboé tackles Van Bronckhorst Bruce Lee style. Clearly a red card (red? purple!), but our Norwegian ref can't give it because he already gave Lehman one four minutes earlier. Another red card would have ruined the game totally.
in the 37th minute Eboé decides to fall to the ground after a duel with Puyol. In Germany they have a beautiful word for that: schwalbe. Instead of a well deserved second yellow card, Eboé gets a free kick. It is from that freekick Campbell makes the 1-0.
How on earth can anyone think that he ref was (besides hopelessly incompetent) on the hand of Barcelona?

tainted ref - the better team definitely was the gunners.
arsenal can totally be proud - they are a team that could take the EPL if they put that much heart and dedication to each game next season
