oh what a beautiful thing. i know it's not the beautiful game, but i just have to make a comment about this wondrous sporting event. the u.s. is out of the world baseball classic the first ever world cup of baseball. it is only the quarters and they are gone.
the semis see japan face korea and cuba face domincan republic. and the states are gone. kind of puts the lie to the whole "world series" don't it?
yankee go home, indeed.

cuba is in the finals! this is great considering usa tried to exclude them from wbs.
yeah...it's awesome. go cuba. i love that the two countries in the finals are two countries that the states have fucked so royally over the years. japan gets nuclear bombed, cuba lives with decades of economic embargo, and the two countries wind up in the final of the american game on american soil. beautiful.
