maybe not beckam

but somebody...and soon. and i'd put my money on becks to new york red bulls (despite his l.a. youth academy) -- the beckenbaur and pele comparisons will be too much to avoid -- and ronaldo to l.a. galaxy or chivas u.s.a. at least that's what the so-called "beckam rule" has been put in place for. if miami had a team i would say even henry would be there in 7 years.

p.s. the photo is all for you, gio.

thank you - its a great way to start my work week. sigh.

i would LOVE it if becks came to north america! i know it would be like seeing bruce springsteen post "Born in the USA" but who cares????? i'd still get to see him play.

I think the draw of LA will be too much for Red Bull New York to overcome. However, New York will certainly find an aging star of their own - Ronaldo or Luis Figo perhaps.

To be honest, I'm far more interested in how Toronto FC will fill out it's roster and which Canadians if any will be lured back home to play.

i will be really stoked if de rossario comes back. i look forward to cheering for tfc. that was a pretty decent game between houston and new england yesterday. chippy as hell, but that was part of what made it so interesting.
