Interesting idea. Are you suggesting that Rosicky was acting alone or that the entire team was taking a dive? Neither one seems plausible to me.

If Rosicky was bought off then why was he even in the six yard box to begin with? It would seem to be a whole lot easier to simply mistime your run or to not quite elude the defenders than it is to get into that position in order to intentionally miss. For that matter, why would anybody think that Rosicky could single handedly throw any game? Henry, Fabregas and Van Persie all had glorious chances to win that game as well and on most days Arsenal walks off with an easy victory regardless of what Rosicky does.

As far as the entire team being involved, that's even harder to grasp. What purpose would it serve and how could anybody expect to keep it under wraps? For that matter if the team was supposed to be throwing the game they did a terrible job of it. Heck, surely Henry has sufficient skill to put the cross straight into Akinfeev instead of threading it through to Rosicky if he really didn't want the team to score.

I believe it was just last season that Ljungberg was in a similar spot to Rosicky and managed to put it over the crossbar entirely. Sometimes these chances just go wrong.

i think the whole team was involved. the damn russian mafia have their dirty hands all over it. they're probably holding hleb's mom in belarus or something.

arsenal are just so good that they can keep coming close without scoring. this is so depressing. cesc hit the side of the net on purpose too. it's just that rosicky's miss was the obvious one.
