i'll just leave it to arsene
on the penalty kick:
"I felt frankly that it was a generous decision. Then I thought to myself, if it is our year, Jens will save it. Maybe the strength of character of Jens was important because I knew he would not be beaten easily. There was a lot of pressure on Requellmie and he had fatigue, but Jens had determination and class, and he showed again what a great goalkeeper he has been this season."

It wasn't pretty, but it didn't need to be. That ranks up with the FA Cup Final against Man U as one of the worst performances I've seen Arsenal turn in, but it was enough to see them through. Mad Jens came up huge after a very weak penalty call. All hail Mad Jens!
Once again the back four got rearranged with Senderos out and Flamini exiting early and once again the new group held it together for yet another clean sheet.
Now it's three weeks for some players to get healthy and/or rested before the final. Perhaps Cole and Campbell will actually be match fit for that one and will have some games under their belts. Henry I suspect will also get some rest over the last three games.
Brad and I were debating after the game whether Arsenal winning the Champions League would make it more or less likely that Henry will stay. Anybody care to offer an opinion on that one?
Henry will stay regardless.
i doubt it, but i think i hope you're right.
i think he's gone - he had other leagues to conquer.
and yesm, it may have been a so-so game, but it all lead up to that penalty kick, and really, that's what it was all about.
