Mido is Out

I used to think Mido was alright, and after reading about his temper tantrum and ejection from the Egyptian team, I may have to rethink that.

I don't know the history between the Egyptian coach and Mido, but Mido is definitely coming off as the bad-ass.

And to be kicked off the team before the final in the African Nation's Cup. Ouch.

I don't know what stories you've seen, but this one is pretty good: http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=361932&CPID=437&clid=&lid=399&title=Defiant+Mido+blasts+Egypt

I don't think he'll be playing for Egypt again any time soon. To make matters worse, Egypt is the host country for the African Cup so the fans will be even more irate if they lose the final now that he is gone (of course they may not have made the final if he hadn't been replaced in that game - the sub scored the winning goal).

my favourite line is

"They think they know everything. People can call me an arrogant Premiership player. The fact is that I am a Premiership player and they are amateurs."

very interesting
