cygan blows yet again

manchester utd kicked arsenal's ass tomorrow at highbury, and, as expected, the vast, bleeding wound that is pascal cygan was what allowed man u the killer blow.

when ashley cole is healthy there is nothing to worry about where cristiano ronaldo is concerned. the cole / ronaldo battle is one that ashley always wins, but with ronaldo particularly hot over christmas, and the bald goal bleeder playing left back, ronaldo had free rein up the flank.

ronaldo was free to make pinpoint crosses, dazzle with his all too cheesy footwork, and generally make a nuisance of himself at will. to top it off, cygan was forced into two particulary bad challenges -- both to save face after being schooled by the portugeuse international -- thus receiving a red card in the final third of the match. it was a disastrous display from the frenchman and one that took the piss out of arsenal's early flurry of goals.

apart from ronaldo and rooney, man utd never looked particularly dangerous, but the young boys were enough to put the kill on arsenal. cole and clichy can't come back soon enough for me.
