joe cole is back

i just read a chelsea blog where someone asked "is it just me or is every other Chelsea fan missing Joe Cole?"

alleluia and a-men to that!

the fact that he's been injured is the only consolation i have that sportsnet and the score haven't shown a single chelsea game this season.

perhaps with cole back in the match, sheva will step up his game. apparently, he's been lacklustre and 'they' think that with cole on the pitch, he'll have to step up his game. especially when joe does his fancy footwork...

so far, sheva's been a waste of money

i'm a touch bitter about my footie today. and since i'm bitching, can i add...i miss crespo too.

I don't think The Score is showing any soccer this year. It's now just Sportsnet, GolTV (on Bell or Rogers, not Shaw) and Setanta (online only so far, may get licensed at some point in the near future). And of course there are always BitTorrent downloads of most games. I see the Chelsea-Bremen and Chelsea-Charlton games available. MSN or email me if you want assistance with such downloads.

Even if Sheva is a waste of money, it's not as though Chelsea is lacking funds. Not having seen any Chelsea games either I can't really comment on his play or what it will take to get him going.

sheva won't step his game up. he's done. unfortunately, the Dynamo academy exposed him to big football when he was just 17.

sheva has played 13 full seasons (including Eurocups). in 2 weeks, he's 30. while there are many players who peak in their 30's, he won't be one of them due to such an early start.

i don't know the transfer fee, but i'm sure he'll get paid more now than he did at Milan and do alot less.

at least that's what i think. but i can't wait for both Chelsea - Barca matches. so hot.

And to correct myself, Fox Sportsworld Canada has the rights for Sunday games. Still no Chelsea this week because they are showing the much more important Arsenal-Manchester United game :)

Of course, the Chelsea-Liverpool match would be a good one as well.
