sheer jubilation on the pitch
it's easy to bad mouth chelski and say they bought the title. cause they did. and i don't think roman abromovich, the great russian oil robber baron/capitalist, would be anything but proud of the fact.
bastards
but as real madrid, the new york yankees and new york rangers can attest, money and big name players can only get you so far.
you need desire, you need to be a team, and for both those things you need a good manager. enter: jose mourinho. he is that manager, and as much as it pains me to say it, he did a fantastic job with chelski. he brought lampard's and terry's games to new heights; he brought in peter cech; and he shored up the back line with the underrated roberto carvalho.
but let's not forget the greatness of arsenal. with more injuries than any other team in the premiereship, arsenal is still in second and unlikely to budge. if they are healthy all next season and can make a couple of key moves, 2005-2006 will be one of the best title races in recent history.
enjoy your title chelski, we're not going anywhere.
